
Dr. Renata Roma
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)Renata Roma, B.Sc. (Hon.) and M.A. in Psychology, and Ph.D. in Child and Youth Studies, joined the Centre as a Postdoctoral Fellow in May 2023. Dr. Roma has 10 years of experience with research, and her main interests are in animal-assisted interventions, mental health, and well-being among young people. Through her research, Dr. Roma aims to offer a more nuanced perspective of pet ownership among marginalized populations and explore the benefits of human-animal interactions in social contexts related to rehabilitation. She is also involved in Center projects associated with First Nations and policing services.
