Dr. Bryce Stoliker PhD
Research OfficerDr. Bryce Stoliker is a Research Officer (Centre for Forensic Behavioural Science and Justice Studies) and Sessional Lecturer (Department of Sociology) at the University of Saskatchewan. He holds a B.A. (Hons.) double major in Psychology with Thesis & Criminology, an M.A. in Sociology, and a Ph.D. in Criminology. He joined the Centre in 2020 as a Postdoctoral Fellow and recently transitioned to the role of Research Officer following completion of the fellowship in August 2022. He has been involved in various research and evaluation projects undertaken at the Centre (in collaboration with community and government partners) tasked with assessing criminal justice processes, as well as improving the lives of people who encounter the criminal justice system. In general, his research focuses on the intersection of persons with mental illness at various levels of the criminal justice system (CJS). In his research, he incorporates both psychological and sociological perspectives to improve insight into issues concerning the CJS. Recently, he has directed attention toward suicide and self-harm among psychiatric and correctional populations.
